We are two Idaho natives who have a passion for helping children and educating families. Jess is a licensed speech therapist and Devin is a licensed occupational therapist. We absolutely love working with our clients and their families!

Big Steps has been a dream of Jess’s ever since she was at the very beginning of her education. Even before she finished school, she often daydreamed about the pediatric clinic that she would open one day. In May of 2023, Big Steps opened its doors to our first clients. It has been both one of the most terrifying and rewarding things Jess has ever done.

One of the driving forces behind Big Steps is a desire to not only help children, but to empower their families with the knowledge and confidence to be able to work on their child’s communication or occupational therapy goals at home. We strongly believe that children make more progress when their parents/guardians are involved in their treatment. For that reason, we are committed to involving parents/guardians in our sessions and welcome collaboration. We may be the experts in speech/language/OT, but you are a valuable team member because you are the expert in your child and their unique strengths and needs!
